Looking Ahead: From Inclusive to Queer Communication
Before the summer, I shared a series on Inclusive Communication—a practice that goes beyond buzzwords and helps us connect more openly, carefully, and effectively. In those posts, I reflected on the challenges of speaking and listening in our fast-moving world, where misinformation spreads quickly and many voices are still excluded.
What exactly is Inclusive Communication?
Here’s a quick recap of the main topics we explored together:
- What is Inclusive Communication? – everyday practices for inclusion.
- Timing – why timing matters, especially in moments of crisis and injustice.
- Storytelling – asking whose stories are told, and who gets left out.
- Manifesto of Dos and Don’ts – simple, practical tools for better communication.
- AI and Communication – using tech responsibly without losing nuance.
- Still Learning – embracing growth, mistakes, and learning together.
All of these posts are now gathered on one page: [Link].
Bridging Photography and Communication
This summer, I also explored the relationship between photography and communication—how images can become tools for inclusion, empathy, and storytelling. Here are some of the key aspects we covered:
- Observation – learning to notice details others may overlook.
- Timing – capturing the right moment to tell a deeper truth.
- Context – understanding how where and how a photo is shared changes its meaning.
- Storytelling through Images – showing emotions and connections words can’t always hold.
- Ethics – asking what it means to photograph respectfully, especially vulnerable subjects.
- Impact – how photography can challenge norms and inspire change.

Workshops Coming Soon
Building on both topics, Inclusive Communication and Bridging Photography and Communication, I’ll soon be offering workshops designed to help you communicate with more clarity, empathy, and impact in these troubling times.
In these workshops, you can expect to:
- Practice listening and speaking with inclusion in mind.
- Explore how to read and create images that carry meaning responsibly.
- Learn tools for navigating misinformation and bias.
- Strengthen your ability to tell stories that connect rather than exclude.
- Reflect on your own communication style—and experiment with new approaches.
You can choose a personal 1:1 workshop or join a group session, depending on what suits you best. 📩 If any of this sparks your interest, please get in touch—I’d love to hear from you.
These workshops also pave the way toward my upcoming series on Queer Communication, where we’ll take the conversation further and explore how queer perspectives reshape and expand the ways we connect.
Next: Queer Communication
In the coming months, I’ll be introducing this new series, with topics such as:
- Intro: From Inclusive to Queer Communication.
- Dis- and Misinformation.
